And There We Were Standing in Our Underwear...
Today JT is leaving the diaper at home and going to school wearing underwear. And all it took was a family effort.
After sending Q to his room to change out of his pajamas I spent a good ten minutes with JT trying to sing the praises of Elmo undies. He wasn’t buying it. Being the quick thinking Papi that I am I promoted the idea of underwear by dropping my pajamas and saying, “Look son, you’ll have underwear just like Papi.” JT smiled.
At that moment Q walked into the room. He was obviously taking a break from getting dressed because he was still in his underwear. He said, “Look JT, I have calzones (underwear) too.” JT smiled again.
Mami came into the room to get dressed for work. Why not get everyone into the act? “JT even Mami has underwear,” I volunteered. Mami gave me a look…and then dropped her pajamas. JT started to laugh.
There we were three of us in our underwear and a toddler in a diaper. You get the picture, so there is no need to post any.
Soon JT had his own underwear on and we were off to school. Of course we were taking 3 or 4 changes or underwear and clothes. Everything takes time and there is a time for everything.
